Poll Finds a Majority of Likely Voters Support Permitting Reform

WASHINGTON - A survey of likely voters conducted by Cygnal with support from American Policy Ventures found a majority in support of bipartisan legislation to enact so-called "permitting reform."
Respondents were told about recent bipartisan permitting reform legislation, which would speed up the deployment of new energy infrastructure and boost production of both renewable and traditional sources of energy. 52.5% of likely voters polled agreed with proponents who believe permitting reform will make America more energy secure and independent while also promoting faster development of clean energy sources. Just 20.3% of respondents opposed this legislation after learning about it, while 27.2% remained unsure.
